Anja Hodann

Biography

The Swedish boulder girl No. 1, Anja Hodann had a great 2006 with numerous positions within top ten on the world ranking. Last summer she also became the first Swede to receive a medal in the World Cup and got invited to the prestigious competition Arco Rock Master, where the best meets the best. Anja is always training hard to get prepared for the next competition somewhere in the world.

Anja has won the Swedish Championship in bouldering year after year and is ranked No. 1 in Sweden at the moment. She has even started to compete amongst the guys to get further challenged and we look forward to se more of this in the future. Before she started climbing in -98 Anja was really into gymnastics where she actually has a gold medal from the Swedish Championship aw well. The strength, coordination, techniques and mental stability from the gymnastics has been a great competitive advantage in her climbing.

She has a masters degree in Economics from Handelshögskolan in Stockholm and is now working part-time on an event & marketing company on Kungsholmen in Stockholm leaving her enough time to practice and compete. We are quite sure that Anja will be a name you will hear about and definitely see much more of along the way.
