Claes Lundin
Biography
Claes is a Swedish kiteboarder with an impressive resume. He is a very dedicated athlete with lots of motivation and ambition. His excellent skills combined with ambition and charisma will make his name sound very familiar in the near future, not only amongst kiteboarders.
In 2006 he was crowned snowkiting World Champion in Vadsø, Norway, with the local Norwegians close behind. Snowkiting is growing fast in popularity in Scandinavia and to have a Swedish world champion will further boost the sport. The conditions in Scandinavia is perfect, with more and more events every year. Claes has a number of appearances in the leading press for snow and water sports. This year 2007 in the Nordic Masters Claes came second all over but won the category "best trick".
As a kid Claes used to spend all his time in the local gym hall in the city of Örebro Sweden, where he grew up. His interest in all kinds of sports made him very versatile and at the age of seven he tried snowboarding for the first time. The winters where from now on dedicated to snowboarding. For all lovers of winters sports, summers are long. To kill time Claes spent his time competing in sailing. This time killing activity made him a three time Swedish sailing champion in his class. After a couple of bad hits on snowboard, Claes found his passion, kiteboarding. He could now enjoy boarding all year around and he soon developed an exceptional talent, which financed four years of college. Now at the age of 24 and already with a college degree in his backpack he is ready to focus 100 % on kiteboarding to find out how far he can go...
Claes is a calm and humble person who lets his result and riding do the talking. This attitude has earned him great respect in the kiteboarding community. His values are very sound and for a sponsor with the same values, Claes would be a very valuable asset in developing and marketing its products. His ambitions is to be leading in his sport and together with the right sponsor push for himself and kiteboarding, in primarily snowkiting, but also kitesurfing.
